Battersea Park’s annual fireworks extravaganza is back with a series of spectacular displays, a roaring bonfire to huddle round (on Saturday), and an entire market of street food stalls to pick up a winter warmer or two. This year, they’re making the most of the affair with live music and DJ sets spinning until 11pm, and classic fairground rides including dodgems and a Ferris wheel to take in the vibrant lights from above.

Waltham Forest is turning the traditional firework night on its head with their Light Show Spectacular - yep, we’re talking an eco-friendly alternative that is just as beautiful. The deafening boom of fireworks isn't everyone’s cup of tea, so the team behind Fawkes Festival are offering an eye-catching alternative that is no less spectacular to watch. Touching down in Ravenscourt Park and Bishops Park, Londoners will have the chance to watch what it described as a “15 minute lights-laser-sound extravaganza”, but if that’s not your scene then the presence of flames and state-of-the-art sky trackers may sway your opinion. Of course, no bonfire night would be complete without a cup of hot chocolate with marshmallows, and you’ll find this cosy treat from plentiful drinks vendors on the night.
