2. Fawkes Festival

The deafening boom of fireworks isn't everyone’s cup of tea, so the team behind Fawkes Festival are offering an eye-catching alternative that is no less dazzling to watch. Touching down in Ravenscourt Park and Bishops Park, Londoners will have the chance to watch what it described as a “15 minute lights-laser-sound extravaganza”. Not convinced? Then the presence of flames and state-of-the-art sky trackers may sway your opinion. 3. Hampton Court Palace Ice Rink

Take to the ice here and you’ll be skating in front of the historic palace that Henry VIII used to roam. 4. Day of the Dead at Wahaca

Halloween who? Each year, London’s Mexican community comes together for their biggest annual event: the Day of the Dead. To celebrate our dearly departed, they paint the town rainbow through colourful parades, joyful live music, kaleidoscopic costumes and face paint, and traditional delicacies.
